I’m Jeanette and these are my (mostly) weekend DIY adventures. I bought the house in the Fall of 2011 and it was basically a blank slate. I started working on a few things just to “pretty things up.” Before I knew it, one project led to another and now I’m hooked.
I never thought of myself as a DIYer. I didn’t even think I even had a style! Slowly but surely, as I started to change my house around, make it more homey, I noticed I had a fondness for retro things. Back then, I didn’t realize it was Mid-Century Modern. A lot of my style steers towards that as well as modern and industrial. I also have some ideas some folks might think is eclectic as well.
My goal is to make my house into an awesome home but do it as inexpensively as possible. Being that I’m also earth conscious, I try to reuse and repurpose when I can.
In 2012, I’ve added a couple degrees of difficulty. Those of you who know me, know that I adopted a couple kittens in the summer – Floyd and Puck. This will make home improvement a little more difficult but I can do it. 🙂
Follow along for my ideas and plans.
